Think of Me



Yes, I know you belong to someone else,
and that we can never be together,
but think of me.

When you are out shopping,
and the sunlight glistens off your hair,
think of me.

When you walk in the rain,
and the water runs off your face,
think of me.

On a clear day,
when the sunlight makes those beautiful eyes sparkle,
think of me.

And at night,
when you almost glow in the moonlight,
think of me.

When you're in bed,
and he reaches over to touch you,
think of me.

When he pulls you to him,
and your first instinct is to pull away,
think of me.

When he is laying before you wanting your perfect lips wrapped around him,
and you don't know how you can bring yourself to do it,
close your eyes and think of me.

When he is inside you,
and you can't bring your body to react,
think of me.

When the night is dark,
and you're finally alone with your thoughts,
dream of me.

But when you wake in the middle of the night,
and you are sure that you can endure it no longer,
walk down the hall and look at your children snuggled in their beds,
and think of them.
