they used to call you a non-conformist
now you impede the process of healing.

they used to say you had no loyalties
now you're an anarchist, imprisoned in your body.

they used to call it suffering
now they offer the pain of feeling nothing.

they used to call it certitude,
but now you're just stubborn.

they used to respect you for who you were
but now they only care about your rights.

but now that's just a conflict to civil liberties.

they used to remember you at the dry goods store
but tram laws are in effect everywhere.
