I find such delight in you.
I curl into you in the early morning.
Touching your soft skin, hot from the cocoon of blankets.
Without opening my eyes I bury my nose in your brow.
I breathe you in.
Your sleep scent always makes me think of warm honey.
Heavy and sweet.
Eyes still closed I kiss my way down your face.
Your eyelids
The tip of your nose
To your lips, soft, pouty, sleep swollen.
You murmur a good morning against my mouth.
The soft puff of your breath caresses me and I shiver.
Moving closer I press my leg between your thighs.
My chest to your chest.
My hand stroking your slightly sweaty back.
My mind remembers and transmits and I taste salt and you on my tongue.
Your hand slides up the back of my thigh, cups me for a moment then moves to my hip,
My ribs, slipping so softly and slowly upward.
Your thumb brushes my breast as you pass by.
You reach around to my shoulder pulling me closer.
Tucking your face into the sensitive hollow of my neck and collar.
You press a kiss there and I start to heat deep within.
I can feel you smile against my skin , you felt me dampen.
Your sex rests hot and heavy on the thigh trapped between yours.
But it is still so early, the sky only violet.
Night shadows linger in the corners of our room.
Wrapped in each other we start to drift back to sleep.
Later I will share my delight in you…let you feel and hear it as you slip into me.
But for now, this too, this too is making love.
