To speak of love is wonderful
But actions truly speak the heart
At times that seems so hard to do
When we are so very far apart.

To say "you're always in my dreams,"
Doesn't seem to mean as much
As the message I could give to you
With a single loving touch.

It need not be a giant hug
A simple caress would do
In such a simple act of tenderness
You would feel my love for you.

A gentle whisper in your ear
My fingers laced in your hair
To hold your hand softly in mine
And show you that I care.

But an ocean lies between us
Or so that's how it seems
Yet all the distance in the world
Can't keep you from my dreams.

And in the waking hours of dawn
As I slip away from sleep
My first thought is always you
And through the day it will keep.

It gives me all the strength I need
To make it through each day
And reminds me deep inside that
I won't always be so far away.

Someday will come and soon I pray
For it's been so very long
When your touch becomes reality
Til then---I must be strong.

When that day comes--inside I'll know
That our love has been us through
For in my mind I've always
Been on my way to you.

Meanwhile I lie here--still at night
Not as lovely as it seems
For tho you're not within my sight
You're always in my dreams.
