Oft my thoughts turn to you
Filling my mind with visions anew
Pictures, stories, things left unsaid
Confuse my thoughts as I lay in bed
Focusing on things less painful inside
Not far from you can my mind reside
As I lay dying,
My mind, my heart, my eyes are drying.
For my thoughts betray me,
Your power no longer can sway me,
And when I wake, my heart will flee.
