Thoughts of you shimmered through my mind,
echoing with memories of the joy we shared.
The feeling of the sun shining in our hearts
keeping the clouds at bay with its warmth.

Your voice whispered to me in the deepest night
The voice my lonely heart so longed to hear
It whispered to me of an unending love.
It seemed so close, yet not.

It surrounded me with a warm embrace like
I'd never know before and thought never to again.
I could almost feel it caressing my face
with it's gentle, loving touch.

Then my sunshine was hidden behind a cloud of gray
leaving a deep dark place inside of me
a place, once filled with happiness and love

Emptiness was the feeling in my soul
Aching the feeling in my heart
Lost were the fantasies in my mind

Being the last poem in your list at point in tme, and the last one I read, "Once of Light" and "Dreams Of Yesterday" immediately came to mind. So, I went back to look at the publication dates, and no surprise at all, they all had the same date. The sadness and despair you must have felt at that time in your life, in your relationship, must have been severe. Your writing three poems about it I trust helped you deal with your emotions cathartically. It does convince me, though, that you write best from those emotions, as I stated in another comment. This one stands out from the other two, and I might be wrong, but sense it was the third one written of the three, since it included so much of the cherished memories., as if you had claimed out of the dungeon of despair. Your mind was "echoing with memories," a phrase I'm going to shamelessly borrow from you should I ever have a need to use it. Imitation being the greatest form of flattery." I am so looking forward to reading more of your work some day. Picasso

Well written but you left me wondering why your feelings changed from joy to loss. Feels unfinished.
