It is not easy for me to say, Words so full
of power, Those three little words, Just
three little words, Not big words, Oh such
tiny words, My lips pucker with desire, To
form the words, But no words come, I break
out in a sweat, My heart beats wildly, As I
try to say, Taking the plunge, Breathing
deep, trembling, Watching for your reaction
What will he think, When he hears, Those
three little words, Heart contracts with fear
Body tenses with anxiety, Mind screams to
understand, Putting up walls, Expecting the
worse, Waiting for you to run away, I hear
my voice, Saying three words, Tiny words
from the heart, Those three little words
That is so hard to say, "I love you"
There, I said them, Oh God, that was hard
To speak three little words
