Once upon a midnight, you stand
Staring at the sea, your feet sunken in sand
A tear apears in your eye
As you remember long yesterdays
Longing memories coming
Of the love you wish was just a phase
You stare out at the waves,
never remaining at bay
As you think about that night,
it's been three years and a day

Three years and a day
Since you invisioned a love
But yet it still has not come
So you stand all alone
Watching as the sea moves
And waves crash
You think of home
And of the past

Three years and a day
Since the emptiness started
It grows larger every day
But still the love is there
Forbidden as it may be
The want and the need becomes agony
For the emotion is not returned
But still you give up no hope
But still you are alone
Alone without she
Alone with the sea
