In this cold hard world
I'm a throw away girl
with a heart made of glass to be shattered
I give of my soul
To make others whole
But in their leaving I'm left torn and tattered.
Although I am tough
I'm never enough
To make those that I love want to stay
So I sit and I wait
til the grim hand of fate
Says it's time again to throw me away.
Yes, you are still here
but my heart's biggest fear
Is that you will see that I'm far from the best
Then you will decide
to cast me aside
not worth it - just like all the rest.
