Time can be such a wonderful thing,
Providing us with the moments to share,
To tell one another all the things we wish,
Every memory that comes to mind.
But time can be a hateful thing as well,
Taking away those very moments instead,
Not allowing our hearts to be filled
With the promises that must go unsaid.
I much prefer to enjoy time we have,
To use it to fill another's heart with joy,
And see the smile that it can bring,
Rather than lamenting how it was lost.
