A theatre once now only a ghost infested hall
Empty, neglected, abandoned so long ago
No fame, no crowds, had been the downfall
Forgotten in sight, not one last please bravo
Cobwebs and dust abound every corner
From inky darkness shadows kill the light
Different would it be had you been sooner
The stage filled with magic or a gunfight
Performers, actors, the best were here once
Colour and splendour, excitement unmatched
The community centre of fun and dunce
But that's now all over, the front doors latched
Oh time moves forward and we all change
For TV, the theatre it seems we did exchange
