If time were a medicine
could it heal these wounds
Could it erase these tears
that have stained my face

Could I swallow a teaspoon
and go back a few moments
Just one tiny time capsule
would my heartache be gone

Would I be able to change
the things I said to you
Could I erase the wicked
thoughts that plague your soul

Could I restore
your faith in me
Convince you that
my soul is yours

Or were we doomed
from the beginning
Was I always meant
to be untrue

To break your spirit
your heart and my own
In a hasty decision
one fateful night

Could time erase
these things I've done
destroy the sorrow
that shadows our love
Or have I obliterated
any chance we have

Oh, to have time in pill form
for I would do anything
Anything to rewind this pain
anything at all to hold you once more
