It's early Sunday morning,
The birds outside
Are telling me
I should be up
And enjoying
This lovely day,
But all I want to know
Is that you are
Laying here beside me,
Sound asleep still,
Your arm thrown
Across my breasts,
Bodies pressed together,
Warm and comforting.

If only I could
Ignore the birds
Everyday and make
This moment
Last forever,
If only you could
Feel what I have
Growing inside,
Created from our love,
So soft, so tender,
So vulnerable,
I close my eyes,
Listening to the birds
As they tell me
To have faith,
To be patient,
To accept what
You have given me,
To love.
