To Mend A Broken Heart

A broken heart is hard to heal
When your soul feels ripped apart
Although you mend it with a seal
It seems to still fall apart
To feel whole again seems too far away
In the deep abyss of your pain
You miss the love that you once shared
Still you know you cannot strain
Even though it is hard for you to take
I try to make you laugh
You smile a smile that I know is fake
And for a brief moment I see
The spark that once was there
After a while, you seem your old self
Smiling as you once did
A bright light now shines around you
Like it did before
Happy Like you should always be
