I'd like to spend a week with you in bed,
In perfect health, and just shut out the world.
Unplug the phone, ignore the mail, and then
Return to how we used to, long ago,
Dwell on each other. I would kiss your lips,
Then move to other parts, until I dropped
In glorious exhaustion back to sleep,
To wake and find you there. We'd read a while,
Until an impulse hit, then back again,
To kissing and to fondling... (And so on!
And on, and on, until we dropped again,
Or wore out all our parts!) And at the end,
We'd go back to our jobs in fighting trim,
Well exercised, pounds lighter, slightly dazed.
