His eyes caught me as I looked,
his seeming to ask a question.
I look in another direction,
but inside wanting to beckon.

To want a man,
was not right.
To be with a man,
it was myself I had to fight.

He was handsome and suave,
I could see that he was built.
My knees shook,
I could feel myself wilt.

He walked over to me,
and introduced himself.
I shook his hand,
and told him about myself.

In that first touch,
I knew without a doubt.
That he was the one for me,
the one I could not do without.

As we walked out the door,
to his place for the night.
I looked in his eyes,
and it did feel right.
