To you in the night, I'd bring a rose
to softly brush your lips, ears and nose
To you in the night, that rose would bloom
bringing peace and happiness to your room
To you in the night, I'd softly kiss
trying to pull pain and give bliss
To you in the night, that kiss would feel
as heaven sent, to become surreal
To you in the night, I'd cherish smile
knowing apart, we'll be a while

to lighten lives you meet each day

to rest beside, and unwillingly part
