Together . . .
Yet we are apart,
A distance of space, that’s in reality,
So close, but
It might as well be the distance between stars.
Together . . .
Connected in time eternal,
A connection of Love;
But I cannot see your face, your eyes
Or smell your hair, and breath
Or feel a brush,
Of our lightly touching lips
And your warm grazing exhalation.
. . . Still . . .
I’ll always Love you,
And know for an eternity you’ll be there,
And care for who I am.
But sometimes these consolations,
Barely seem enough,
Unconditionally, I know in trust,
We’ll touch each other again.
