We should have lived together in another time;
you a stately princess,
heir apparent to the throne of England,
and I, a minstrel
Singing verses to you of my own creation.

Or I could have been a barbarian
leading the Mongol hordes,
who has captured you as my booty,
forcing you into submission by my cruel hand,
and brought to my knees by your terrible beauty.

Perhaps we were together at the Garden of Eden,
and you were created by a piece of my soul.
Surely no greater serpents existed then,
than those who tempt me now
with your sweet forbidden fruit,

Yet, perhaps our time has not been spent,
but waits for us in generations yet to be.
If that is true and it happens, you shall know
and I will be waiting.
Come to me then. Come.
