I do not care to love you today,
I do not care one bit.
But since I must love you today,
I do not care to show it.

For my mind is on other things
Yes, other things indeed.
But my mind floats back to you,
Floats back with such great speed.

I try and try to be fair,
Fair in every way.
For how can I be fair,
When I have one thing to say?

I love you, love you very much
But I don't like to be away.
I miss your smile, voice, and touch,
A price I hate to pay.

So I do not care to love you,
I do not care, my dear.
But how will you know this,
When you are not here to hear?

I do not care to love you,
I do not care at all.
I have fallen so hard for you,
I didn't notice the fall.

I do not care to love you,
Yes, that much is true.
Care is not the word to use
For this love I have for you.

I love you very much today,
This love is no bore.
I love you more than yesterday,
And tomorrow maybe more.
