Tonight I found a special thing,
I did not think to see,
For Love I'd searched and never found,
but friendship has found Me.
I think it's more like Kinship,
or in our Hearts we share,
A need to plant a flower,
where now a Heart lies bare.
A Garden once stood on this spot,
Its beauty all could see,
Till a careless hand swept all away,
left but pain, and misery.
This Soul that once was fertile,
grew lush and full and proud,
Now waits for Winter's cold to end,
and Mother Nature's Plow.
When time is right, we'll plant a seed,
with trust and hope restore,
One tiny shoot of Love may sprout,
the first of many more.

I think I once heard worse

but my memory is bad.
