I’m dying
You give me life
Without you I’m nothing
You give me reason

You don’t always want me
I can live in the dark
If you come back and find me
Will you again?

My powers draining
There’s not much left
Enough to light up?
Will it attract your attention?

If I make a sound
Will it alert you?
To use those reserves
Shortens my life further

I need you to need me
To ask kills me faster
I’ll stay here and hope
When will you miss me?

I’m yours if you want me
I’m lost when you don’t
You hate me demanding
I am forgotten

Will I still be alive
Enough to revive?
Or once I die quietly
Will you breathe relief?
