Too many questions that’s my problem, that’s what brings me to tears.
My questions I couldn’t ask because I was frozen with fear.
My questions you can’t answer because you’re not here!
If you were here would you, could you, answer my questions, set my mind at ease?

A lot of time has passed, and it is my time to ask,
So I will no longer be tortured by my past.
Why did it have to end so fast? Were you afraid of the feelings?
Afraid they wouldn’t last?
Did I awake feelings in you that wish weren’t there?
Were you afraid to love me because “they said it was wrong?

What happened to you after we lost touch?
These are questions I must have answered because I miss you so much!
I wonder what you would say if I posed these questions to you?
Would you tell me it was okay? That you are here to stay?

I’m sad that you are gone; a pain that has scared my soul,
but I know that you want me to move on.
