Too timid by far for bold robbery, mine
is just petty theft. Not the long waves
of dark hair falling down a slender neck but
a fleet impression of darkness upon
a bright face; not the dragon's hoard
but the wealth of a smile come
my way by sheer accident – across
the valley the fire's indication
almost seems heat enough.

Perhaps the speaker needs to "try the last", as Macbeth said. One wonders what the speaker might be wishing to steal... :)
