I let the rain wash down upon my face
so you cannot tell I'm crying.

I used to love being - here...
I used to be happy - here...
I used to feel safe - here...

But now it is a dark and lonely fortress
   bleeding my life...bit by bit

Reminders tucked in every corner,
Memories hung softly in the air,
   relentlessly stabbing my soul...

Now I am forced to open my eyes
   and leave this place...
Make my own way, once again, all alone
Away & away I travel...
Will I ever have a heart to call 'home'?

Sad

A truly sad and depressing poem but so well written and touching.
