Something in your eyes,
Makes me shy away,
Something deep inside,
Tells me keep at bay.
An element of danger,
To my ready heart.
To try and love a stranger,
Knowing we will part.

Tempted by the spice,
Of each enchanting kiss.
Such a wicked vice,
Despair entwined with bliss.
The element of fire,
Accompanies your hands.
As you touch my face,
I completely understand.

Love goes the way it came,
I'll let it go with grace.
Knowing I can keep,
The memory of your face.
Knowing what I've gained,
Forgetting what I've lost.
The memory of those eyes,
Was more than worth the cost.
