There's two sides to travel - there's the old
familiar, the well-known - trains may not run
for a lack of units; the horizon doesn't

really change. The skyline holds no
unpleasant surprises. Shelter awaits
you at the end of the day's distance,

and there's the same sky next morning,
the same wan sun - a well-worn coat,
shabby, too pleasant to throw. Nothing like

the bright new clothes in the midday heat,
waiting by the side of the road for the inept
driver to get the bus going again, stared at

by strange faces behind deep reserve; the long
train trundling from the loud station,
and strange birds calling at dawn.

Each way...

...has its own appeal, else we would not keep repeating it!
