LEMONIA (F)LEAP EDELTRAUD => AN EASTER TIME BALLADE

ATTICA COUNTY
GOOD TUESDAY MORNING
10/4/2012

TRAVEL SOUTH

The station full of travelers and noise,
Espresso hot and bitter in my mouth,
I watch with empty mind some girls and boys,
In love with each other, going south.

So, south shall I go in this bliss,
My red hand bag I hold, my sole insignia,
A gift from you, you gave me with a kiss,
Making its second travel to Messinia.

The bus is late and it's going slow,
The sun comes out strong and makes me blind,
From now on I'll go with your flow,
Even when it is cruel and unkind.

The difference between us is confused,
The likeness is clarity demanding,
One another's daydream we have used,
With love, but still with little understanding.

How could I ever hope to understand,
This latest event in our whole story,
My memories will grow and expand,
With flowery details and with gory.

I watch out of the window with regret,
The west Saronic gulf is still attractive,
I'd like you to have sheen it cause I fret,
It may become in future radioactive.

Most beautiful of all Hellenic seas,
By industrial waste contaminated,
This childhood shock is never in decrease,
While yours with drugs I'll keep sedated.
