TRIPTYCH 1: ALCYONIS DAY
This day I could call "Alcyonis",
the weather has improved, the cold subsided,
of calling you I thought, "give it a miss,
our worlds have irreparably collided,
let's give due recognition
to this hard felt collision".
So sunny and so blue if you look high,
your glance appreciating perpendicular,
I felt as if my thoughts could really fly,
towards you, thinking nothing in particular,
just soft and timid feeling,
up there that blue was thrilling.
I stopped that soft day dream and came back down,
alcyonis or not, the day still frolicking,
by verb and gerund, adjective and noun,
was giving to my day dream some hard bollocking,
sorry for the digression,
we are still in recession.
Alcyonis days = days towards the end of January with very mild weather reminiscent of summer (ie halcyon days).
