a night of torment, relief combined
dreams of peace and quiet
no more recriminations please
glorious dawn of new day
some hope prevailing
but then the blackness comes
without warning
nothing I can do
but stay the storm and pray
trouble comes
when you are not sure what
you’re praying for
and so it goes
another night of torment
