Author's Note: Not always as it would seem and then at times exactly what it is. We don't always know what we got until it's too late and then sometimes we are lucky enough to actually know while still around.

To me you were always a reliable friend
And I hope it would stay so until the end
For you make me feel what others hardly do
And this I swear to be 100% true

You were there for me in both joy and sorrow
And my pride you taught me how to swallow
One day I hope to return the favour
But your friendship now I can only savour

For sweeter than this there cannot be
Than the friendship between you and me
That we both shared from the very start
As it came straight from the heart
