Man seems to value meaning more than truth
So what is the truth of the meaning to you?
Is truth the tales you tell
The lies, manipulation and deceit
Churning within the depths of your soul?
Is truth your crutch?
Or your cross?
What do you think "they" would say
Those that love you, if they knew?
Would your behavior be forgiven?
Would the truth set you free?
What does it mean
And say of me
That I have played the fool
Danced for you
Like so many others in kind
I, the marionette
You, the manipulator
Pull my strings
Unlike the blind
I have seen your game
Unlike the lost
I know my way
How can you live with yourself?
Or do you live at all?
What are you hiding from?
Where do you really belong?
You have shown weakness
Yet none have caught on
Misconceptions and fantasies
The things you cannot do without
You'll never know how much
I truly despise what you've become
While others think they've seen the real you
