Sometimes it's hard and despair crashes in.
  Even your hope ebbs away...
But do you kick right over and let death win?
  Hell no...you turn the page!

Your life is like a story, so is mine chapter and verse.
We live out the parts and write the lines with no chance to rehearse.
And the most that you can hope for is a happy ending.
Keep on writing, keep on living, keep on deciding, keep on believing.
And if it looks like the story ends sadly, you turn the page.

There's always another chapter,
or a few lines that you missed.
A couple of words you read wrong,
some thing that got you pissed.
Sort it out deep in your mind.
Or your stubborn heart will make you blind.

When a chapter is done, you don't discard the pen.
You don't look at the happy paragraph and declare that it's the end.
A story is written in flavors, in colors, the taste of tears.
Where benefit lies not just in smiles, but is counted in your years.
Where did the time fly, could I really be this old?
That question marks the thoughts of one who think their story told...

Time to turn the page.
