Twas a rose that once grew in sun
Twas a rose that bloomed in black
Twas a rose that whispered moments
Twas a rose that never grew back
Twas a petal that was as red as blood
Twas a petal to crave wine
Twas a petal that couldn't hang on
Twas a petal dusty and old is now mine
Twas a leaf that was green as grass
Twas a leaf that cried in winds of greed
Twas a leaf I once knew
Twas a leaf begging for a healthy seed
Twas a stem that once flowed with love
