Twenty years
of hardships:
memories burned
into the subconscious
which I would never wish
upon my greatest nemesis
but, in that I found
a new strength;
a desire to find the good
in all things;
a need to see a positive
despite the negatives
and there were many,
so many.
Then, along came you.
Congratulations, love!
You have managed to undo
what it took me twenty years to create.
A believer in forgiveness and love
now knows
Hate.
