It takes a modern man to know
That Jesus Christ was really Roman,
Hari Krishna Californian,
And Mohammed was no prophet.

I'm sure I'll live to be one hundred
After reading Zarathustra
Who taught me I am Superman
Or Übermensch, which I prefer,

But do not wish to help the poor
Nor praise Monsieur Voltaire
Who at that final hour
Summoned his valet to say
He would not pray with any priest
But would with any whore.
