In Which a Man Claims a Glimmer Of
Understanding of the Female Mind

A good friend and coworker-
We once shared something more
'til she abruptly shut it down

Now during conversations
She shows some jealousy
Of other women I may speak of
I found this quite confusing

The wee small hours last night
Brought an epiphany of sorts
And understanding made me smile
Not because it was amusing
No, in fact it's rather sad

She still doesn't love me
But wants me to love her still

Well of course she does, it's obvious ! :) Honestly you men so slow on the uptake!

I once read that "if you don't understand women, what you're really saying is that you don't understand people". Well, I guess I don't understand people, then. :)

I like the diplomatic " a man *claims*", there.

Very nice

Nice to see you extending your range a bit once again and to see you become ever more accomplished and confident. The inversion of ‘still’ in the last two lines as an example plus the intro as 1201 said.

You might wish to discuss it with some of your female friends but I have a suspicion that men are sometimes guilty of hypocrisies/double standards in this approximate area. I just have the suspicion but they might be able to give you chapter and verse.
