I can remember what every moment, every fucking moment of his love felt like
Getting lost in those hazel skies,
I truly felt beautiful, truly free
But those windows to his soul are open no longer
At least not for me
I’ve never seen her, but she’s there
I can taste her on his lips,
Hear her in his voice,
Sense her with his touch
…when?
When did he tear his love away, leaving me broken and bruised?
More to the point, why?
Who was I kidding?! I’m so Fucking STUPID!
I know his words lie as he unknowingly reveals the truth, but I need him…
…so I close my eyes,
and pretend she’s not there
