Unspoken
I would describe the luscious curves,
Enticing in a moment’s view,
Smold’ring thoughts they flame anew
But stifled cold by icy nerves.
A longing unfulfilled wells up,
Then hides in depths so tremulous
That spoken thoughts too obvious
Dive deep into the soul’s redoubt.
Were I to overcome this dread,
And tell of what could lie ahead
But then the secret throated fare
Would drift away when given air.
