She sat in her room on the verge of tears.
Her first true love no longer near.

One word too many was spoke in angst.
He'll never forget the look on her face.

He had to get out of there, He had to breathe.
The sadness in his eyes, he couldn't let her see.

The tears that they cried, neither one will know.
The love they had will now never grow.

Two hearts broken by one mistake.
A cheater does not a good man make.
