As I gaze into the moon
And think about tomorrow
Pondering what the morning brings
The heartaches and the sorrows
I think of how things might have been
For the days that lie ahead
All the things we should have done
And all the tears we have shed
If our love ends with morning light
And our lives together the same
Would the love that we have shared
Just be in agony and vein
But if our love shall find its way
And our hearts again as one
Our loving memories remembered
As they were when we were joined
We know many moons it will take
To know our love unwavers
But no matter how long it takes
Our time together, I'll savor
