Cold creeps thickly
Heart of ice, immortal
Penetrate the freezing fog
Invade my isolation

But if the frost bites
And the ice cuts
Do not pretend
You thought it would be warm

A chilling poem...

concise language with a consistent metaphor makes this one work. The icy isolation comes with a razor sharp warning... powerful poem. Well done.
