A new year has begun,
And another has faded away,
And yet I don’t know where,
All the time went,

I don’t understand,
How it all works,
With a tick of the clock,
I lost it all,
No longer were you there,
Yet I don’t know where you are.

I know I should know,
But the truth is I don’t,
Nor do I want to understand,
I don’t want to compromise,
All I ever wanted was you.

For a brief second,
I had it all,
And then it disappeared,
So please if you’re listening,
Tell me what I can do,
To make it right once again.

Poignant!

Resignation - desire - willingness all come shining through in the marvelous poem by this talented Poet. Enjoyable!

~~

A plaintive plea that perhaps has no real answer.
