I guess
When our bodies first pressed
I never thought about the end
I never thought about the pain

I know we're friends
I know we're lovers
And now distance divides us
But I'm asking you please
To just forget me
Cause I'm barely worth remembering
Without a doubt
When time fades out
You'll find this out
Even if you are lost and lonely
Please don't think of me
And the nights we've spent
They are really nothing
Cause I'm barely worth remembering
Even if the summer sea
Blows ever so gently
I hope it doesn't remind you of me
Even when the rain touches your face
Please don't think of me
If it hurts on a cold breeze
Don't think of all the cold things i've said
Don't remember the way i am
I'm barely a person
Worthy to understand

~~

A portrait of self-doubt, questioning self-worth, bound to spend a lifetime alone.
