Soul windows of the deepest blue
They float about then rest on you
Hide your own they’ll see right through
Bait and switch and he’ll pursue.

The fire under the palest flesh
It builds enough to consume the rest
And if you were to pass this test
The trophy being the ebb and crest
And glistening jewels of passions sweat.

But when the day does find its break
The darkness leaves its own mistake
Yourself, is whom you forsake
The give, give, give and never take.

Know there will be another dawn
Build the walls and carry on
Another lesson you’ve undergone
Look forward now and just move on.
