Love's day is upon us,
and cupid is full of sparks
His arrow sharpened,
and all he needs is a heart,
He looks right & he looks left,
flapping his wings,
and as he lets go
he sings & sings
while all down below,
there are hearts a fire,
thanks to cupid's arrow,
all is desire,
Men & women,
hand in hand,
lip to lip,
They're all in love thanks to
cupid's arrow tip,
The women with white roses hanging
from the hair they sit across
from their men, leaving
them to stare,
the men with smiles lit brightly,
have there tongues handing out slightly,
as they watch the women and groan
and wish on wishes unsightly,
meanwhile grinning up above,
cupid sits with love,
and love is laughing at the fools
who all believe that they're her
tools, as pawn's in their game on earth,
we've all been played since birth,
and until the day the rooks takes the
pawn we'll be their pieces for
that long..
sometimes we curse love for her
gift of women but, we know in our hearts
we couldn't live without'em
now I'm sure that women curse cupid for men but,
the truth of it is they just
love to reel us in,
so cupid and love,
on this day
of their birth they smile from
above, and continue to work
rejoice, be happy, be thankful for what you've
got, "cause valentine's on the fifteenth surely will be not however if you can feel it in your heart valentines can be forever,
and never will it stop
