Let’s buy chocolates,
Hearts and flowers.
Ephemeral tokens
Of how our love towers.
Like a tidal wave,
Rushing toward the shore,
And so, overwhelming
The object of one’s amor
Ardor... Romance...
That knocks a lover off their feet,
And meant to show
How no other can compete

But… My Hope Is,
To love you like the tide.
Constant… Eternal,
Always by your side.
Gentle, and steady,
As the waves which do not end.
I do so pray you know,
On my love you can depend.
