‘Valentine’s Day’               January 27, 2002

Valentine’s Day soon shall this way come
Hearts hear the beat like the pounding of a drum
Breathtaking as the breaking of a new day’s sun
A new feeling new era new chapter will have now begun

Hearts go all a rapid flutter
Weak in the knees, soft and malleable as melting butter
Saddened though it will painfully shudder
They are fragile yet, resilient like an ornate cookie cutter

Feelings simple pure honest and true
One feels joy while the other is blue
All of which makes me wonder what I am to do
Emotions washing and cleansing as if on cue

     On this Valentine’s Day…
     This Valentine’s Day…
     Valentine’s Day!
