Darkness...

Oh hunger of hungers;
gnawing away inside my soul....

Distant dreams hover,
just out of reach...

Thoughts of love; of light....
of simple pleasures...
gone forever...
now,
only night.

For now;
there is only the hunger...
those needs to be quenched...
the damned mindless pursuit of feeding...
of eating ...
of licking
the only heat I can feel
~ pulsing ~
deep
inside your throat...

My
survival.

Nevermore shall I see the light of day;
for reflections come dancing in midnight's eyes...
The soft flickering of candles hypnotize,
as if their only purpose is to whisper
how to purify the sins of flesh;
all the while gently caressing your fears...
calming your confusions...

Then,
as surely as twilight relieves the burdens of day;
I surround your face in shadow...
The last image you sense,
the last touch you will ever feel
are my cold,
pale
and unfeeling razors of eternity
plunging into their fateful bath...
into your dark sweet passionate blood.

Satiation is only a heartbeat of satisfaction...
for I will need to look for another....
and another....
til I find you....

Never fear...

I will find you...

Then you,

will

be

mine.
