Black moods abound,
Descending silently without warning
Causing voracious chasms to open
Wounds that band aids cannot close.

Appetite without end,
Wanting to taste each delicate morsel
Laid bare upon the gleaming platter
Displayed openly for my delight.

Serenity hides all,
A smile to hide my ever mounting ire
Underpinned with rods of twisted iron
Soaring ever skywards but invisible.

Ever tightening springs,
Waiting the release of kinetic tension
That produces joyful motion and music
In a crescendo of momentous ecstasy.

Patiently swallow down,
Calm the nervous ticks that manifest
To openly show impassioned feeling
That steals control from my open hand.

Endless sublime torment,
Focusing mind on tediously mundane tasks
Inconsequential to my general well being
As vanilla ice cream on uninspiring pie.
